Rinki is a completely new type of chair - a stool which can be easily converted to a safety-tested highchair for your baby, and vice versa.
How to use it as a stool? Simply, when you receive your Rinki, just assemble it to the stool mode - fast and easy. And as a supportive chair for the child? Lift the stool´s middle ring up by opening and then re-fastening three handwheels, with absolutely no need for tools. There is also an additional baby kit available, making Rinki perfectly suitable for the babies as a safety-tested highchair. And no, you do not need any tools when attaching the baby kit, either.
Besides the smart design, Rinki´s sturdy birch frame and round shape makes it one of the most stable highchairs on the market.
The Rinki frame is of solid Finnish birch with a non-toxic, child-safe lacquer finish. The round, coloured birch-plywood circles are coated with high-pressure laminate. These materials were chosen not only because of being ecological, but also extremely easy to keep clean - a point that we felt was very important, especially when using Rinki as a highchair. All wood material is FSC certified (Forest Stewardship Certificate).
Periods of usage:
With the additional, birch-plywood baby kit, Rinki can be used as a safety-tested highchair starting when your baby can sit unaided, usually somewhere between 6-9 months of age. Please do note that small babies are recommended to spend only very short periods of time sitting in a chair, because their spine and muscles are very delicate and still evolving.
Without the baby kit but with the side rail, being the middle ring, still up, Rinki is recommended to be used apprx from the age of 18 months onwards.
Rinki can be used as a normal stool for the child whenever he or she is ready to sit without the rail support. Usually that happens somewhere around the age of 3, but because Rinki is generous enough with its dimensions, it can be used with the rail as long as your family feels comfortable. As a stool there are absolutely no weight limits - feel free to use it in your family until your baby has grown up and is having kids of his/her own, then you can start all over again!
Rinki i combined with the additional baby kit has been tested in an accredited laboratory, and it meets or exceeds all EU, US and Canadian safety standards.
